Car Crash Utah Today in Utah: On June 28, 2026, at approximately 4:32 p.m., a 2000 GMC Sierra pickup traveling southbound on SR-16 near milepost 23 in Box Elder County drifted left of center into the northbound lane and struck a 2020 Ford F-150. The Sierra's front passenger, who was eight months pregnant, sustained serious injuries and was transported by medical helicopter to a hospital; the baby was later determined to be deceased. The driver of the Sierra is suspected of falling asleep, causing the lane departure.
