Hit And Run I- California in I-, California: On June 27, 2026, at approximately 10:18 a.m., a pedestrian riding a bicycle with a shopping cart as a trailer and accompanied by two dogs was traveling westbound on Eight Mile Road east of I-5. An unknown vehicle traveling westbound on Eight Mile Road approached the pedestrian at an undetermined speed and struck them before leaving the scene. The pedestrian and both dogs were killed. The California Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the fatal hit-and-run crash.
