One Person Hospitalized After Shooting Near Liberty Street…

Shooting Newburgh New York in Newburgh, New York: Gunfire broke out at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 28, near Liberty Street and East Parmenter Street in Newburgh, leaving one person injured and possibly another hurt, with at least one victim taken to Montefiore St. Luke's hospital. Neighbors reported hearing seven or eight gunshots before seeing people running from the area. Police closed the block with crime scene tape to Washington Street as detectives photographed the scene and placed evidence markers. In a separate incident, two stabbing victims reportedly walked into the same hospital around the same time, though police have not said whether the incidents are connected.
