Car Crash Texas Today in Texas: A 2015 Nissan Armada towing a trailer was traveling south on US 385 south of the Hartley County line around 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, when a 2018 Volkswagen Atlas was traveling north in the southbound lane, causing a head-on collision. The driver of the Nissan, Toby Robbins, 47, of Pottsboro, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Volkswagen's driver, Joaquin Soto, 22, of Pharr, Texas, and three Nissan passengers — Christina Robbins, 46, a 14-year-old girl, and Adam Copeland, 18, all of Pottsboro — were taken to Amarillo Northwest Texas Hospital with minor injuries. A 15-year-old boy was also transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The crash occurred in a 75 mph zone under dry and clear conditions and remains under investigation.
