Shooting Chicago Illinois in Chicago, Illinois: Five people were shot and a man was stabbed in separate incidents across Chicago overnight. The fatal shooting occurred around 4:15 a.m. Monday in the 9900 block of South State Street near a CTA train yard in Roseland, where a 57-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the chest and later died at Christ Hospital. Earlier, a 21-year-old man was shot multiple times in both legs while standing outside in the 5600 block of South Wabash Avenue in Washington Park and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition. A 47-year-old man was also shot in the right arm in the 4900 block of South Honore Street in Back of the Yards and went to Loyola University Medical Center in good condition. Police said the causes of the shootings and stabbing remain unclear and some victims would not provide details.
