Car Crash Newberry South Carolina in Newberry, South Carolina: A 70-year-old Columbia man was killed in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 26 in Newberry County on Sunday night, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. A 2017 Toyota Camry, 2025 International box truck, and 2025 Nissan Sentra were all traveling east toward Columbia when the Camry stopped for traffic and the box truck was slowing; the Nissan Sentra driven by Hector A. Colorado Cogua struck the box truck from behind, pushing it into the rear of the Camry. Cogua died at the scene near the 88-mile marker, while the drivers of the Camry and box truck were not injured. The Highway Patrol and coroner's office are continuing to investigate.
