Police said 29-year-old Officer Anthony Elliott of the LMPD's 4th Division was thrown from the motorcycle, suffered fatal injuries, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said the motorcycle was dragged under the semi's axles and caught fire; no other injuries were reported.
