Police Pursuit Crash Hesperia California in Hesperia, California: On June 10, 2026, at about 3:19 a.m., a Hesperia Sheriff's deputy observed a motorcycle without a rear license plate traveling south on Maple Avenue and attempted a traffic stop. The motorcyclist failed to yield and fled at a high rate of speed before crashing, at which time the rider was detained and identified as Cristian Duran, 32, of Hesperia. A search of Duran's belongings turned up two pistols — one confirmed stolen — along with suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl. Duran, a convicted felon, was booked into the High Desert Detention Center on charges including evading a police officer, possession of a controlled substance while armed, felon in possession of a firearm, and prohibited possession of ammunition.
