Michigan woman and child killed when semi strikes disabled…

Semi Truck Crash Wapakoneta Ohio in Wapakoneta, Ohio: A 48-year-old Michigan woman and an 11-year-old child were killed early Sunday on Interstate 75 just south of Wapakoneta in Pusheta Township, Auglaize County, Ohio. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the woman's 2011 Ford SUV traveled off the left side of the interstate, struck a cable median barrier, re-entered the roadway and became disabled in the right lane. A passenger exited the SUV to push it off the road and was struck and suffered minor injuries when a 2018 Freightliner semi-truck driven by Charles Pagel hit the disabled SUV from behind. The woman and child were pronounced dead at the scene; the semi driver was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.
