Car Crash Marked Tree Arkansas in Marked Tree, Arkansas: Marked Tree police Officer Trevor Howard, 25, was killed early Sunday when the patrol vehicle he was riding in was struck by a driver who allegedly ran a stop sign. The crash occurred around 2:50 a.m. at the intersection of Broadway and Nathan streets in Marked Tree, Arkansas. A 1991 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by 28-year-old Kareem Jones was traveling north on Broadway (Highway 14) and failed to stop at a stop sign before striking the officers' Dodge Ram 1500 on the passenger side, causing it to overturn. Officer Anthony Johnson was taken to NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro with non-life-threatening injuries, and Jones was airlifted to Regional One Health in Memphis with serious injuries. Arkansas State Police are investigating the crash.
