Car Crash Marked Tree Arkansas in Marked Tree, Arkansas: A Marked Tree police officer was killed and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash around 2:50 a.m. Sunday in Marked Tree, Arkansas, according to Arkansas State Police. Trevor Howard, 25, a passenger in the patrol car driven by Officer Anthony Johnson, died after the patrol car was struck on the passenger side and overturned. The other driver, identified as Jones, failed to stop at a stop sign and was airlifted to a Memphis hospital with serious injuries. Johnson, 22, was taken to a Jonesboro hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Arkansas State Police are investigating the crash.
