Car Crash Marked Tree Arkansas in Marked Tree, Arkansas: Marked Tree Police Officer Trevor Howard, 25, was killed and Officer Anthony Johnson, 22, was injured in an early-morning crash at the intersection of Broadway and Nathan streets at approximately 2:50 a.m. Sunday. The officers were in a Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Johnson with Howard in the passenger seat, traveling east on Nathan Street, when Kareem Jones, 28, of Marked Tree, failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with the officers' vehicle on the passenger side, causing it to overturn. Johnson was transported to NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro with non-life-threatening injuries, while Jones was airlifted to Regional One Health in Memphis with serious injuries. The Arkansas State Police is investigating the crash.
