Assault Connecticut Today in Connecticut: A 38-year-old man from Clinton was stabbed inside an apartment in the 300 block of Howard Avenue in New Haven on Friday after being invited to smoke with several people. Investigators said the men began assaulting the victim and taking his money, and one suspect, Ortiz, pulled out a pocket knife and slashed the victim in the face and ear. The victim was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Ortiz was found with several other people in the apartment and was arrested.
