Man accused of assaulting UTMB security officer in Galveston

Assault Texas Today in Texas: University of Texas Medical Branch police are searching for Mark Anthony Johnson Jr., who is charged with assault on a security officer. The incident occurred at 5:58 a.m. on Sunday in the 600 block of Market Street in Galveston, where a UTMB employee was approached by a man driving a 2010 Honda Accord. A UTMB security officer intervened, allowing the worker to leave safely, after which the suspect exited his car and physically assaulted the officer before fleeing the scene. The UTMB worker was not injured, and the officer sustained minor injuries.
