Pedestrian Hit Leesburg Virginia in Leesburg, Virginia: On February 8, 2026, at approximately 10:55 p.m., a pedestrian was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Battlefield Parkway SE near the Sycolin Road SE intersection in Leesburg, Virginia. The victim had stopped his vehicle in the middle lane after observing smoke coming from it and exited the vehicle when he was struck. The driver did not stop and continued traveling southbound on Battlefield Parkway SE. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries and has since been released. Following an investigation that included processing the suspected vehicle and reviewing surveillance video and public tips, Leesburg police arrested Alexei G. Fisher, 26, of Leesburg, on June 12, 2026, and charged him in connection with the crash.
