Knoxville woman dies after ATV crash in Jefferson County
Car Crash Tennessee Today in Tennessee: Heather Wheeler, 56, of Knoxville, was driving an ATV down a hill on private property in Jefferson County when she lost control and crashed into a utility pole, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. Family members transported Wheeler and a passenger to the intersection of Highway 92 and Hickory Hills Road, where they met Jefferson County EMS and New Market Fire Rescue and were taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Wheeler died from her injuries Monday morning, while the passenger was treated and released. Neither Wheeler nor the passenger were wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
