Dui Crash Elizabethtown Kentucky in Elizabethtown, Kentucky: A truck driven by 44-year-old David Rhodes of Elizabethtown was traveling on Bewley Hollow Road in Hardin County, Kentucky, on Saturday at 8:53 p.m. EDT when Rhodes lost control and exited the roadway into a flooded creek. Rhodes and two juvenile passengers were trapped inside the truck and had to be rescued by a KSP trooper, a Hardin County Sheriff's deputy, and the Hardin County Emergency Management Coordinator. All three were transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown; one juvenile with life-threatening injuries was transferred to Norton Children's Hospital in Louisville and later died, while the second juvenile and Rhodes sustained minor injuries and were released. Investigators determined Rhodes was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, and he was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and first-degree assault.
