Motorcycle Crash Missouri Today in Missouri: A 19-year-old Joplin, Missouri man was killed on June 28, 2026, in a two-vehicle crash on Elder Road about five miles west of Diamond in Newton County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred at approximately 2 p.m. when a westbound 2009 Honda CBR1000RR motorcycle crossed the center of the roadway and collided with an eastbound 2010 Ram 1500 pickup. The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was transported by EMS to Mercy Hospital Joplin, where he was pronounced dead at 3:30 p.m. The 63-year-old Diamond, Missouri man driving the Ram was wearing a seat belt and was not reported injured.
