Car Crash New York Today in New York: A JetBlue pilot reported that the aircraft was struck by a drone at approximately 3,000 feet while on approach to John F. Kennedy International Airport. The pilot told air traffic control the drone hit 'right above the cockpit' during a turn toward ASALT. Passengers were able to disembark before the plane was pulled from service. The incident prompted an FAA investigation and comes days after a United Airlines pilot reported a near-collision with a drone while landing at Newark Liberty International Airport.
