Fall Injury Leavenworth Washington in Leavenworth, Washington: A rock climber sustained an ankle injury after falling at the Snow Creek Wall in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area near Leavenworth over the weekend. Chelan County Mountain Rescue responded to a distress call around 3 p.m. on Sunday and found the man and his climbing partner had already descended to the base of the wall with help from local climbers. The injured climber was assisted to the trailhead using an orthopedic boot, then transported the remaining two miles by wheeled litter with help from Chelan County Volunteer Search & Rescue. It was unclear whether the climber was transported to a hospital.
