Car Crash Houston Texas in Houston, Texas: A construction worker was killed overnight on the Gulf Freeway in Houston after being struck by a work truck during a lane closure project. The crash occurred around 11 p.m. Sunday in the southbound lanes of Interstate 45 before the Dixie Farm Road exit. Police said a truck being used to protect workers from traffic was backing up and struck one of the workers, who was wearing high-visibility clothing and required safety gear. The driver remained at the scene and was part of the same construction company as the killed worker. Houston Police Department's Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
