Hit-and-run driver charged after fatal crash in Iberia Pari…

Hit And Run Its Louisiana in its, Louisiana: A 2021 Ram 1500 truck traveling through a roundabout at the intersection of Louisiana Highway 320 and Louisiana Highway 86 in Iberia Parish struck and killed 24-year-old Marteilan Mitchell of Franklin on June 28, 2026. The driver of the Ram fled the scene. Mitchell was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and later died from those injuries. The driver, identified as Mason Couvillier of Jeanerette, was located and booked into Iberia Parish Jail on charges related to the hit-and-run. Louisiana State Police Troop I is investigating the crash.
