Shooting Matteson Illinois in Matteson, Illinois: A food delivery driver is being sought after fatally shooting a 26-year-old third-party vendor worker at an Amazon facility in south suburban Matteson late Sunday. Police responded to a shots-fired call at about 10:55 p.m. in the employee parking lot outside the Amazon fulfillment center at 7001 S. Vollmer Rd. and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso near the building's front entrance. The victim and the shooter had an argument that escalated into a minor physical altercation before the driver shot the victim several times; the victim was taken to St. James Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Matteson police are working with the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force to identify and charge the shooter, who remains at large.
