Car Crash Springfield Township Ohio in Springfield Township, Ohio: A three-vehicle crash in Clark County over the weekend sent five people, including a 4-year-old boy, to Springfield Regional Medical Center. A Chevrolet Corvette driven by Terry Mathews, 43, of Enon, was traveling east on U.S. 40 in Springfield Township when it struck a Mazda CX-5 driven by Melanie Swauger, 63, of Enon, and a Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Courtney Shoemaker, 31, of Fairborn, who was stopped in the left turn lane on Upper Valley Pike. Mathews and his passenger Samantha Carter, 44, and Swauger and her passenger Terry O'Brien, 58, were treated for minor injuries; the 4-year-old was taken to the hospital with possible injuries. Mathews was found at fault and cited for Right-Of-Way Rule When Turning Left, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol is continuing the investigation.
