Assault Yanceyville North Carolina in Yanceyville, North Carolina: An 18-year-old man with autism was repeatedly beaten and burned by his father and stepmother, leaving scars and burns across his entire body, according to the Caswell County Sheriff's Office. Adrian Forrest Thomas and Marcie Samantha Thomas were arrested June 22 at the Executive Inn in Yanceyville and face charges including assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and felony abuse/neglect of a person with disabilities. A warrant reported knife burns, whipping marks and scars from metal clothes hangers and charging cords, cuts from a metal long rod, hearing loss from head blows, and that the victim was fed only one meal a day. Deputies also found three minors in the room and evidence of similar injuries on another 18-year-old dependent in the couple's care.
