Explosion destroys Twisters Ice Cream in Grand Rapids
Vehicle Fire Grand Rapids Michigan in Grand Rapids, Michigan: An apparent explosion destroyed the Twisters Ice Cream building in Grand Rapids, Michigan, early Monday morning around 1 a.m. The Grand Rapids Fire Department responded to the intersection of Fulton Street and Lane Avenue after a neighbor reported the building on fire; firefighters arrived within two minutes and found the structure a catastrophic loss. The building was vacant at the time and no injuries were reported. Grand Rapids Fire Marshal Bill Smith said early reports point to an explosion, and owner Greg Finzel said police notified him shortly after the fire began.
