Dui Crash Bakersfield California in Bakersfield, California: A man died after a DUI collision at the intersection of California Avenue and Chester Lane in Bakersfield, California, just after 12 a.m. Sunday. Police said a silver Mazda driven by 23-year-old Gavin Mundschau entered the intersection westbound against a red traffic signal and struck a silver BMW traveling southbound on Chester Lane. The BMW driver suffered major injuries and was transported to a hospital, where he later died. Mundschau had minor injuries and was also transported to a hospital; police determined he was under the influence and said he would be booked into the Kern County Sheriff's Office Jail on charges of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated following medical clearance.
