Dui Crash Washoe Valley Nevada in Washoe Valley, Nevada: On a Friday night in Washoe Valley, Nevada, deputies responded to a vehicle collision at Douglas Drive and Eastlake Boulevard just before 10 p.m. Two suspects fled the at-fault vehicle on foot after allegedly stealing merchandise from a nearby Chevron, prompting an aerial search with a HAWK drone. While deputies were actively working the scene, a speeding vehicle driven by 19-year-old Makaylie Briggs-Rowland struck an unoccupied parked sheriff's patrol vehicle head-on. Briggs-Rowland was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, first offense. The four occupants of her vehicle were determined to have no connection to the original incident. Separately, 21-year-old Nicholas Quinah Downs was identified as the driver in the initial hit-and-run crash and was booked on charges including DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm, failure to remain at an accident scene, resisting a public officer, and conspiracy to commit petit larceny.
