Driver rescued after vehicle overturns into Bethel river
Car Crash Bethel Connecticut in Bethel, Connecticut: A driver was rescued after his vehicle drove off-road and overturned into a river in Bethel on Friday morning, trapping him inside the car. Bethel Police responded at 5:53 a.m. and removed the victim from the vehicle, but were unable to carry him up the hill due to injuries including a laceration above the eye and a rolled ankle. The Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Department placed the victim on a backboard to carry him up the hill, and he was transported to Danbury Hospital, where he was treated and discharged. A heavy-duty crane was used to retrieve the vehicle from the river.
