Hit And Run Kentucky Today in Kentucky: Kentucky State Police responded to a two-vehicle injury crash on I-24 westbound near the 50-mile marker in Lyon County on June 27, 2026, around 2:45 p.m. One driver left the scene before troopers arrived. A trooper spotted the suspect vehicle, an orange Hyundai Santa Cruz, traveling westbound just west of the KY-293 exit. The driver exited onto US-62, turned onto Majors Loop, then turned back onto US-62 eastbound, initiating a pursuit. The driver continued eastbound on US-62, turned onto Goodman Road, and reached private property at the end of the road, where he attempted to turn around and became stuck in a pond. Richard Rogers, 55, of Nashville, Tennessee, was arrested and charged, and officers also served him with a previously issued warrant for driving under the influence.
