Dui Crash Kentucky Today in Kentucky: On June 25, 2026, Kentucky State Police troopers conducting a traffic safety checkpoint at US 62 and Industrial Park Road in Lyon County observed a pickup truck make an illegal U-turn. When a trooper attempted a traffic stop, the driver turned onto Pleasant Valley Road and fled with emergency lights and sirens activated. About 2.5 miles later, the driver failed to negotiate a curve and crashed in the 1100 block of Pleasant Valley Road. Robert Amburgey, 59, of Eddyville, Kentucky, was taken into custody, received first aid, and was transported to an area hospital for minor injuries, then arrested and charged with fleeing or evading police, DUI of a controlled substance, no operator's license, and additional traffic offenses.
