Assault Clifton New Jersey in Clifton, New Jersey: A Clifton man identified as Schwiederek was charged with attempted murder after authorities say he stabbed a 62-year-old Clifton resident in the neck and head, leaving the victim with life-threatening injuries. The stabbing occurred June 26 at a home in Clifton, and the Clifton Police Department investigated before Schwiederek was arrested the same day. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment, and the victim's identity was withheld under the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act. Schwiederek was also charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
