Berkeley County armed robbery ends in justifiable homicide…
Shooting South Carolina Today in South Carolina: Berkeley County Sheriff's deputies responded to the Old Wing Road area after a passerby found a man with a gunshot wound near the roadway. The victim had traveled from Georgetown County to meet his cousin, and a suspect named Phillips presented a handgun and attempted to rob the victim's vehicle, firing shots and striking the victim before pistol-whipping him. The victim stabbed Phillips once in the chest, and Phillips died at the scene; the death was ruled a justifiable homicide. The victim was transported to a hospital, and Olivia Catherine Nance, 34, of Andrews, was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice for fleeing the scene in the victim's vehicle.
