Car Crash Abilene Texas in Abilene, Texas: A 49-year-old Abilene man was killed early Saturday after he was struck by a Union Pacific train while on the railroad tracks in the 1900 block of South First Street near the Sayles Boulevard crossover, according to the Abilene Police Department. The collision occurred shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday. The conductor of the Union Pacific train contacted emergency dispatch to report that the train had hit an individual. The man, identified by investigators as Johnny Burchfield, was pronounced dead at the scene.
