Motorcycle Crash Waynesville North Carolina in Waynesville, North Carolina: A 75-year-old motorcycle rider, Ronald Hood of Carthage, was critically injured when his 2005 Honda GL1800 rear-ended a vehicle that had slowed to make a left turn onto Hillside Drive on Pigeon Street in Waynesville shortly after 11 a.m. on Monday. Hood was airlifted by Mountain Area Medical Airlift (MAMA) to Mission Hospital and admitted to the ICU. Waynesville Police closed Pigeon Street for about 90 minutes while they investigated the crash near the Pigeon Community Center.
