Hit And Run South Carolina Today in South Carolina: A 19-year-old utility worker was killed in a hit-and-run crash at 5:34 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Rutland Drive and Northland Boulevard in Aiken, South Carolina. Officers responding to a report of two men down in the street found a passenger-side mirror from a 2007-2013 Chevrolet truck or SUV at the scene. Video footage showed a dark-colored truck striking the victims and continuing on. Charles Blase Engasser, 39, of Aiken, turned himself in at 3:06 p.m. at Aiken Department of Public Safety headquarters and admitted to driving the Chevrolet pickup and hitting the men. He is being held without bond in Aiken County jail.
