Car Crash Pine Prairie High Louisiana in Pine Prairie High, Louisiana: Kyle Basco, a 19-year-old St. Landry Parish man, died in a crash on a Monday when another truck traveling southbound on U.S. Highway had an attached auger become tangled in a utility line, snap a utility pole, and overturn into the northbound lane, striking Basco's truck. Basco was properly restrained but sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Louisiana State Police said the crash remains under investigation. Family and friends held a candlelight vigil on the baseball field at Pine Prairie High School on Friday to honor him.
