Car Crash Joplin Hospital Missouri in Joplin hospital, Missouri: A 19-year-old Joplin motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Elder Road about five miles west of Diamond, Missouri, around 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Gavin McKinney, 19, of Joplin, was driving his motorcycle westbound when he crossed the center of the roadway and struck a pickup truck driven by a 63-year-old Diamond man. The pickup truck driver had no reported injuries, though his truck sustained moderate damage. McKinney was later pronounced dead at a Joplin hospital. The crash was Troop D's 61st fatal crash in 2026.
