Car Crash Joplin Hospital Missouri in Joplin hospital, Missouri: A 19-year-old Joplin motorcyclist was killed in a crash west of Diamond, Missouri on Sunday afternoon around 2:00 p.m. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Gavin McKinney, 19, of Joplin, was driving his motorcycle westbound on Elder Road about five miles west of Diamond when he crossed the center of the roadway and struck a pickup truck driven by a 63-year-old Diamond man. The pickup truck driver had no reported injuries, though his truck sustained moderate damage. McKinney was later pronounced dead at a Joplin hospital. The crash was reported as the 61st fatal crash in Missouri for 2026.
