Car Crash Iowa Today in Iowa: A 17-year-old from Lewis was killed in a one-vehicle crash Saturday night in Adair County, Iowa. According to an Iowa State Patrol crash report, a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 17-year-old from Anita was southbound on Brown Avenue, south of 160th Street, when it left the roadway to the right, traveled through a ditch, struck a culvert, and rolled before coming to rest on the driver's side. All five occupants exited the vehicle and were transported privately to Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, where one occupant, an unidentified 17-year-old from Lewis, died from injuries sustained in the crash. The juvenile who died was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
