Motorcycle Crash Flushing New York in Flushing, New York: A 13-year-old boy was killed in Flushing, Queens, when the moped he was riding as a passenger swerved to avoid an opening car door and collided with a truck, sending him under a rear wheel of the vehicle. The moped was being driven by another 13-year-old near 162nd Street and 45th Avenue around 12:30 p.m. Monday. Both teens were taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where the passenger was pronounced dead on arrival; the driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the drivers of the truck and the parked vehicle remained at the scene and that no criminality was believed to be involved.
