Workplace Accident Cold Spring Minnesota in Cold Spring, Minnesota: Jesse Leal, 29, a native of Guatemala, was killed after being pinned under equipment at approximately 1:15 a.m. at the Pilgrim's Pride meat processing plant in Cold Spring, Minnesota. The Cold Spring/Richmond Police Department responded to a medical emergency and found the employee trapped under equipment in the loading dock area; he was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office. A spokesperson told the Minnesota Star Tribune that the worker was repairing a loading dock at the time of the accident, and Minnesota OSHA is investigating. A GoFundMe fundraiser was organized in Rockville to help with funeral expenses and returning his body to Guatemala.
