Hit And Run Phoenix Arizona in Phoenix, Arizona: A woman died after being struck by a BMW that had fled the scene of an earlier crash in Phoenix, police said. At about 6:20 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a two-car crash near 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road, where the BMW driver hit a woman driving a Toyota Camry, causing serious injuries. Witnesses said the BMW driver fled that scene, and officers later learned the same driver had struck a pedestrian before crashing into a fence; the pedestrian was taken to a hospital, where she died. Officers located the BMW driver at the home where the car was registered; he had serious injuries and, once medically cleared, will be booked on hit-and-run and related charges.
