Car Crash Belding Michigan in Belding, Michigan: A vehicle traveling westbound on W. Main Street in downtown Belding left the roadway at approximately 10:10 a.m. on Sunday and crashed into the Covered Village Mall, coming to rest inside the building. The driver, a Belding resident, suffered serious injuries and was transported by Life EMS to Butterworth Hospital. A passenger, also a Belding resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the mall was empty at the time and no one inside the building was injured. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Belding Police Department with assistance from an accident investigator and the Ionia County Medical Examiner.
