Police Pursuit Crash Texas Today in Texas: A Lubbock Police officer spotted a stolen vehicle near 40th Street and Avenue X just after 2:10 p.m. on Sunday. The 13-year-old driver fled when the officer attempted a traffic stop, prompting a pursuit. The driver lost control and crashed into a barrier at the intersection of 70th Street and the westbound access road for South Loop 289. Both the 13-year-old driver and a 13-year-old passenger were taken into custody and transported to UMC with moderate injuries before being booked into the Lubbock County Juvenile Justice Center. The Lubbock Police Department's Major Crash Unit is investigating.
