The Pima County Sheriff's Department said an SUV traveling in stop-and-go traffic failed to slow down and rear-ended a sedan, pushing the sedan into a second SUV. The driver of the first SUV, 56-year-old Tina Brenner-Kupris, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was later discharged. On June 18, Brenner-Kupris died as a result of her injuries from the crash. Deputies cited her after the crash for failure to control speed and avoid a collision.
