Vehicle Fire Colorado Today in Colorado: On Saturday afternoon, wildland firefighters deployed their shelters while engaged on the Knowles and Gore fires in Mesa County, on the Colorado border with Utah. The fire overran their position, resulting in three fatalities and two severe burn injuries. The two injured crew members were transported to a local burn center for treatment. Both United States Wildland Fire Service and Forest Service personnel were involved in the interagency response.
