Vehicle Fire Colorado Colorado in Colorado, Colorado: Three firefighters with the U.S. Wildland Fire Service were killed on Saturday while responding to a wildfire in Knowles Canyon near the Colorado-Utah border, part of the Snyder Mesa fire that crossed from Utah into Colorado. Two additional firefighters were injured and transported to a hospital. Colorado Gov. Jared Polis declared a disaster emergency and authorized the Colorado National Guard to assist with recovery efforts, while Utah Gov. Spencer Cox also expressed condolences. Authorities had not yet released the identities of the fallen firefighters.
