Vehicle Fire Oceanside California in Oceanside, California: Two children and one adult were burned at a backyard gathering in Oceanside when a small outdoor tabletop fireplace being used to roast marshmallows flashed and shot flames at the children, igniting their clothing. Firefighters, lifeguards and police officers responded to the 500 block of The Strand North at about 6:30 p.m. on June 27, 2026. The two children were airlifted to a burn center and the adult was hospitalized.
