Car Crash Raleigh North Carolina in Raleigh, North Carolina: An 18-year-old driver was killed and a juvenile passenger was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Northwest Raleigh on Saturday afternoon. Police said the Chevy Blazer was being driven at high speed when it went off the road and struck two trees on Arco Corporate Drive near Macaw Street at 1:14 p.m. The driver, Abraham Karim Manrique Ponce, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle; he was taken to a hospital but died of his injuries. The juvenile passenger was wearing a seat belt, exited the vehicle on his own, and was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Raleigh police said the investigation is ongoing.
